New block pallets measuring 80 x 120 cm or other dimensions. Block pallets are also called 5-board pallets because they have five top boards. In addition, blocks (or bobbins) form the connection between the top and bottom, allowing these pallets to be picked up from four sides.
WHAT SIZES OF BLOCK PALLETS DOES FORESCO SUPPLY?
A block pallet usually comes in a size of 100 x 120 cm or 80 x 120 cm. These are standard sizes. 115 x 115 cm is also possible. If you want a different size block pallet, please contact us. We are flexible and happy to advice you about block pallets with non-standard dimensions. We will also be happy to advise you on the properties, prices, weights and dimensions of block pallets.
WEIGHT AND LOAD CAPACITY OF BLOCK PALLETS
Block pallets consist of several parts: an upper deck, intermediate deck and lower deck. Nine bobbins or blocks connect the top and bottom. Block pallets are available in light, medium and heavy duty versions.
We can fit the top deck of block pallets with both length and width boards, depending on the application and your preference. The thickness of the boards varies, from 15 to 25 mm. A block pallet weighs between 10 and 25 kilos and has a load capacity of 500 to 2,000 kilos, depending on the variant. PROPERTIES OF BLOCK PALLETS
Block pallets are widely used in airports, the food industry, packaging plants, distribution centres, warehouses and logistics centres.
In addition, block pallets are used wherever chain conveyors and bridge conveyors are deployed. The rounded chassis makes block pallets easy-to-use and versatile. They are also stackable and the weight is well distributed on a block pallet. A block pallet is therefore a valuable addition to an internal transport system.
WHAT OPTIONS ARE THERE FOR BLOCK PALLETS?
If you want to have block pallets made, we are happy to talk to you. You tell us how you want to use the block pallets and we will then advise you on the options. Consider: the heaviness of the design, the insertion chamfer, planing and dusting and the possibility of chamfered corners, for example to wrap the load without problems. We can also provide your block pallets with HT treatment according to ISPM 15 guidelines if you export outside the EU.
