Heavy or specialised transport: what is the difference?
Heavy transport is all about weight. Specialised transport is about size. Both fall outside the usual logistics standards and therefore place additional demands on packaging. A fifteen-tonne transformer requires a construction that distributes the load perfectly. A crane component measuring eight metres in length, on the other hand, needs a crate that follows its shape and can be secured at fixed points.
